Would love to get peoples thoughts on the ride or run of the 2nd horse, (Finnigan) i backed the winner so it`s not pocket speaking..

My opinion is the horse probably should have won ,thoughts please .. Race Replay

I think probably could have won too, but winner was easing up a bit too...but who knows what instructions were given?

Hibs, I've seen countless Cape races end like that. Hence the forums low opinion of Cape jocks.

It certainly looks as if the 2nd horse was finishing best...as was Cape Town Noir :X

Considering that Bernard used the whip over a dozen times on King of Pain and does not use it once here is very surprising. Unless he lost it I would be say it was a very soft ride. I have got into trouble too many times here for alleging any form of race fixing so I will leave it to others to comment on that. I have never seen this jock get beaten by that margin and not pull the stick. The winner was a heavily backed Bass horse too. If jocks just rode in the manner that they consistently do then we would never have to pose these questions.

Race 8 : Ref. K262 : Selangor Cup (Grade 2) : 1600M : Kenilworth : 02/12/2012

Jockey Bernard Fayd’herbe, the rider of KING OF PAIN, appeared before an Inquiry Board on Thursday 6th December 2012, Kenilworth at 10h45. Jockey B Fayd’herbe was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, in that he misued his crop when he hit this horse with excessive frequency over the final 300 m. Jockey B Fayd’herbe pleaded guilty. The Board accepted his plea and found him guilty and suspended him from riding in races for a period of one week (seven days). Mr B Fayd’herbe was given the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.

@Harris(tu)

I'm just trying to show that something is being done...(albeit not to eveyone's satisfaction)...we may end up with races being cancelled due to a lack of jockeys in the W Cape...:D(tongue in cheek...foot in mouth etc...) if it went to the satisfaction of some...::o
