R2R race selection needs to be more transparent

Nepotism as usual among selections..insiders once again get preference..poor quality field with no reasonable explanation with those left out. Owners next year beware..ensure your horse wins in first or second run or you wasting your time and effort..sad but true..current form means nothing!

Easiest way break it down to provincials for 200000 rand races.Take the top five of each race to qualify for the big race.

OK, so the plot thickens ! Yesterday 's Dingaans and Fillies Mile showed that the form is not at all bad, from the R2R Cup..... (the R2R sale concept has already produced 23 Equine Millionaires, including 8 equine double Millionaires, with this year's sale showing a huge increase in prices at the sale
To answer Flash re Flying Foo - her form was not bad going into the race. At the time, Ilha da Rock's form was going backwards. One of the factors which the panel surely considered was that F.Foo was carded to run over 1400m at Vaal before final acceptances for the cup. That meeting was lost due to the holes in the course, after running just one race. She was then accepted to run in the 1400m at Turff night , her race being lost due to lightning. In the end, she ran poorly. She did so again last week. We have got to the bottom of the problem and she will be back. (will scratch for thursday
Ultimately though, I think some nice horses will emerge from the R2R Cup race. ( by my calculations, Negev now goes to about a MR92 after Yesterday's run- now that's not a Rating achieved by a " weak " filly.)
