Zulu king needs more money

Durban - Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini needs more money to keep his six wives and about 20 children in the manner to which they are accustomed, a trust set up for the monarchy says.

The king’s Royal Household Trust was apparently run on a “shoestring” budget and was not sufficient, the trust told provincial authorities, said the Sunday Tribune.

Over the previous financial year, the trust was allocated R12m from the R55m budget of the Royal Household Department but apparently overspent it by R5.1m.

Judge Jerome Ngwenya said an extra R6m was needed for “several other duties”, which apparently included filling the vacancies of CEO, CFO and public relations manager.

Opposition parties did not object to further funding but had concerns about the trust’s operation.

The trust was set up to manage the royal family’s household.

It was reported a month ago that officials from the Royal Household Department had helped themselves to R600 000 worth of groceries.

What exactly is he king of. The hippocrasy of these oke's is mind boggling.....do not question my culture, but give me your western clothes, your fancy western cars, and your fancy designed and fully furnished homes, so I can indulge in my culture of having multiple wives, using your hard earned money.
