What did you eat today?
12 years 7 months ago
Good evening all, with no racing scotia had a different day today, I was with the builders on the site and Russians and chips was the choice ( I only stole a few chips)
My day as normal started with bacon rolls, I came home to Mrs S making the ultimate Scottish lunch of haggis ( from Kings butchers) tatties and neeps, it was magic!
On my return for the evening session was treated to Tom Yum soup, which we had in Thailand and loved it, Mrs S had found the "hot stuff" and added to a seafood mix and was also superb!
I am just having a piece of black Forrest cheese cake with a large glass of (dry) wine to ensure that my diet has not been damaged.
Did anyone have the same?

Where do I start??
Seshen69 knows how we do in New Germany.. Had a bday party for a family member....
Roast chicken, mutton curry, chicken curry, crab curry and also some shad curry..lol..
Plus I was outside opperating a small braai for us men to go with our beers, texan stake and some wors..
So as usual we mixed the Indian and South African flavour together and that's what I call....PERFECTION.. Master chef got nothing on us.lol..

Sunday supper was bean soup, but not just ANY bean soup! Soak the sugar beans overnight, liquidize half of them, then add chopped up bacon and mutton (lavishly) and simmer for hours till the mutton falls off the bones. Flavour with plenty of pepper. To die for.

I remember years ago going to a bowling club for Sunday lunch a 7 course for R20? Lol
When the soup came the waiter says its bean soup, to which we replied we don't care what it's "been " but what is it today?
