World Sports Betting - Beware
12 years 8 months ago
I am a UK National who had the misfortune to open a betting account with World Sports Betting two weeks ago.
After generously losing my money to them, I finally had a run of luck at Scottsville and had three winners in a row. Or so I thought.
World Sports Betting's website was down and they could not take any bets from the website. The message displayed was to contact them telephonically on their 'betting line'. So, I duly did that. I was then informed that their 'system' was down and they could not lay any bets. So much for a 'betting line'. This happened for 3 races.
This is totally new for me - a bookmaker that cannot take bets. I am of the old school where a bet was written on a piece of paper and a book was balanced thereafter. This crowd has the most incompetent set of people that I have ever encountered, their 'customer service' is non existent and although I have had 2 senior staff memebers promise to call me back to rectify (within 30 minutes and 5 minutes they told me at the time), they never get back to you (and I am a customer who bets R20,000 per bet upwards).
I hope that World Sport Betting is not indicative of the entire South African betting industry.
I would warn anyone about doing business with them.

Bokked I take it that after you could not get on with WSB you took the bet elsewhere?? cant see how this could have cost you money? the way I see it their only short fall was being off line...btw they are still off line
Give everything but up!

Soodum, the good old fashioned bookies are either dead or the UK ones wont lay South African races.
I live in a village and the nearest bookie is Coral Bookmakers, they dont give prices on South African
racing until 10 minutes before the off time.
Saldiani Bet 365 are laughingly known as Bet £3-65, thats if they lay you that much...
They are all the same, they want losers or more Roulette machines in there shops
