Pools: Socc13 vs Pick7?

Looking at these soccer bets, you would think that horse racing who host the bets would learn something.

The pools are really very big and weirdly enough the reason might be the difficulty. Another clue is the Jackpot which is re-vitalized by dropping the couplings. Some would prefer to have a racing lottery rather than a soccer lottery to waste money on once or twice a week. Every day would be a mistake I think...Sat-Sun or Sat-Wed for me if anyone asked.

Soccer-10 is 3^10 combinations = 59,049, so field ticket at R2 is R120,000
Soccer-13 is 3^13 combinations = 1,594,323 (at R1.20 fld ticket R1.9M

I guess we at racing should think about a Pick7, R1 - no fractional - no couplings
Racing-7 (average 11 runners per race over 7 races = 19,487,171
possible combinations at R1 and a FLD ticket would cost R20M!)
{A Pick-6 is about 1.7M combos at 11/race, although maybe 8 runners if you guess couplings = 262,144 combos}

Carry overs guaranteed. I guess betting syndicates would start again.

Of course, the thing that makes racing and sport different to other gambling, is that chances can change so prices change. Given that the norm in racing is that the market choice wins 1 in 3 over time, it will be hard to deliver regular extreme payouts.

FazzX so right! I'll also find myself 1 leg shy if there's a Pick 7.
But the pools would be attractive!
