The Newsreaders on SABC have a script so surely TT should have staff employed(is it the infamous backroom staff) that research the changes etc and all the presenter does is present facts.

Actually Neighmaster I do appreciate your point of view and you are correct as regards the amount of information... but I believe Mollet is at York and as such he is only handling the one meeting. And if I was at the track and wanted to have a punt... I do my home work.

Molly is from Yorkshire and in York watching Frankel and considering York unofficially came about 10th in the Olympics, I am sure the entire town is still pissed

If one is specifically (?) sent overseas to cover a certain meeting or festival then I believe there is little excuse for being unaware that one of the top riders is out as the individual has fewer meets to deal with accompanied by (usually) greater publicity and information flows.
Comparison - if Anton Marcus or Piere Strydom were injured just prior to a July or Gold Cup meeting would we regard it as acceptable that the studio presenter kept on referring to them on their relinquished rides? I think not. The 'loss' of a top class jockey on a any ride is generally regarded as a fairly material change.
As to updates - I have yet to experience an occasion where Betfair still reflects the original jockey booking when a change or replacement has occurred; no matter how recent that change is. Interbet, on the other hand, seldom changes jockey information once the races have been listed.
Regrettably this is a 'mistake' and the individual concerned needs to take criticism on the chin and be held accountable. The absence of 'zero tolerance' is one of the many reasons why the sport in this country appears so rudderless to the observer.
