I have noticed the political presence at all major racing events in recent times, is this the same scenario as Pilgrims Rest where tenants are shunted out (18 out to make way for 3) to make way for back handed transactions.
Even the facts mentioned are incorrect G.C did not sell race courses in JHB. And why KZN residents to have control when G.C is in the Cape as well.
Oppertunities are not always the best for advancemement and in the interest of the industry, usually for personal gain

Apt that the farm is in Addo ....a case of much addo about nothing as was the case with her R25m Plett race and the purchasing of Arlington race course...good luck to those who are sponsoring her world wide trips chasing her pie in the sky...
Give everything but up!

Is it a case of fronting on a massive scale would be a question I would be asking? Too hush hush on investors for my liking. Big strategies at play and with the idea of second transition and lack of black ownership being at the forefront of everything politics right now, Ms Kema may just pull it off!
There was always a caution not to sell the only asset on your books when the only other property you have access to is leased! Lunacy at it's finest! The lure of R430 Mil and how this would rescue all things racing could turn out to be Disney. It may cost R430 Mil in legal fees to keep Greyville! Building a polytrack with the money at Greyville may not now be an option, or is that money a target?
Let's be careful to make a clear distinction between piss poor reporting and fact. Leading breeder, GC selling racecourses in the P region et al is piss poor reporting. Fact is; there are big strategies at play and very clever players pushing pawns on the chessboard. The question has to be whether or not there are any players at GC who can push the pieces to counter such advances!
