Scotia after Ascot 2012

Hello Clan and hope you are all well?

"That was the week that was" and I am sure a week we will never forget.

What about the coverage on 205/207, it was awesome! Molly has asked me to join him for the World Focus show, but here is the English version.

The highlights were Frankel winning on day one and was given the highest rating of any horse in history and will probably be seen next at Goodwood for the Sussex Stakes on August the 1st where 1/5 looks a gift.

So You Think is back on the right track with a superb win and Farhh is one to follow, as far as the future for So You Think it will probably run in the Eclipse at Sandown on the 7th July at evens.

Great ride Frankie

The Gold Cup was a very slow run race and did not suit Fame and Glory but well done to Frankie jumping of the second horse Opinion Poll to get Colour Vision up in a driving and "bumping" finish.

Gatewood is also a horse for the note book, Sea Moon was also a good winner in the Hardwick and the runners up Dunaden, Red Cardeaux will be heading for the Melbourne Cup on the 6th November where they should be fancied with Americain at around 20/1 the field.

The Queen also won her own Vase with Estimate which made the week a real royal celebration and helped Ryan Moore lift the jockey honours.

Black Caviar scrapes home

Last but not least was Black Caviars win which almost took away the balance of my pension money and certainly cured my constipation, she finished sore with a muscle tear and sure the jock would have finished sore if he got beat with a total lack of concentration in the last 100mt, however she did the business and will go down in history amongst the greats.

As far as future races and potential clashes, would guess that Camelot will also try and stay undefeated and go for Irish Derby on the 30th June at 1/4 then the St Leger at Doncaster on the 15th Sept.at 6/10 and then a bit opposition in France for the Arc at 4/1

The King George and Queen Elizabeth back at Ascot on the 21st July should be fought out by St Nicholas Abbey 7/2 and Cirrus des Aigles 9/2.

As far as the site I am terribly sorry and also frustrated with the current speed, the IT guys are looking at various options to resolve and we will hopefully be back to normal ASAP.

The site might be slow and frozen but some of the topics still hot!

Scottish Pragmatism

A Priest, a Doctor, a rich Businessman and a Scotsman were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers in front of them.

The Doctor shouted to them, "I've never seen such poor golf!"

The Scotsman chimed in, "Och aye! We ha' been waitin' for nigh on fifteen minutes!"

The Businessman called out, "Move it on you guys, time is money."

The Priest said, "Here comes George the green-keeper. Let's have a word with him."

"Hello, George!" said the Priest, "What's wrong with that annoying group ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?"

George the green-keeper replied, "Oh, yes.. That's a group of blind fire fighters. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year, so we always let them play for free, anytime they want to."

The group fell into an embarrassed silence for a moment.

Then the Priest said,

"That's so sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight."

The Doctor said,

"Good idea. I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist colleagues and see if there's anything they can do for them."

The Businessman replied,

"I think I'll donate £50,000 to the Fire Brigade Benevolent Fund in honour of these brave souls."

And the Scotsman said,

"Why kin they no play at night?

Next week we talk about the July at this stage I have no idea?

Good punting and may your God be with you
