IMO Beach Beauty won a good race and should be a huge runner in the July a race he's obviously being aimed at but race was turned into a bit of a sprint around the bend so hard to tell if Chesalon would beat him over a true run July .
JustinV: some help please: will Beach Beauty be Penalised for this win or did he just run to his MR

Amazing Berry Blaze remains at 20/1 when there are doubts over his fitness and if he gets into the race.

As opposed to smacking a horse from the starting stalls all away around the course....what if a horse don't need to be smacked at all and joe public runs screaming foul that horse was not trying.....been following this horse since he stepped on a racecourse and he is normally held up for a run as he has a short late burst.....but did get into trouble at the business end of the race........but I'm not complaining that the jock tossed it....that's racing folks....you win some and lose many more....no guarentee's you gonna win every time you bet...:S but the place cover turned a profit so now I can afford another bet....;)

Wesian looking at the July log Beach Beauty has gone from 107 to 110. In a merit rating race a horse will always get penalised for a win as theoretically they should finish in a line so winning means it ran above it's rating.

Some Folk here just want to put down others.. Just for interest sake, i have taken bets on Chesalon for the July and happy he didnt win. But in the Betting world 1900 the horse drifted from 5/1 to 11/1. I thought the 12's was very attractive and had a nice bet. I just thought Bernard gave him a soft ride and if he really wanted to win he could have. Run was full of merit given the reported problems before the race. Not soar nor angry. I believe that trainers should run their horses always trying or should make the public aware they are just giving it a run

they were not giving it a run..they were having a full go..it just got interfered with which happens in countless races everyday especially at tracks like greyville ..it got a soft ride cause bernard had nowhere to go...do u suggest he should have tried to jump over beach beauty? surely u can tell with ur eyes when u watching a race that the horse has nowhere to go?

you have it 100% - he has a short burst and could well have run out of the money if the race was an extra 200m -

nothing to do with where i speak from JM..its just clear as day even to a novice watching that race that bernard made his run down the inside..beach beauty who was a few lengths infront of him then came onto the fence infront of him and one of the handy horses was right next to chesalon boxing him in..
