Boxing

Really looking forward to the fight between Mayweather and Cotto tomorrow morning. It seems that the Welterweight division is running out of big fights which is a real shame for the sport of boxing. This particular division has managed to carry boxing over the last few years with the Heavyweights being pretty rubbish to be honest.

In my opinion Mayweather is pure class, the only fighter to give him a good run would be Pac Man - a fight we'll probably never see. Cotto is a boxer I've followed for years, he really is as hard as nails and will give it his all. On pure boxing ability Mayweather takes it but if Cotto can shake things up we're in for a great fight. After this fight what's left for Mayweather? He's beaten everyone, the closest fight being with a winding down Oscar De la Hoya - a fight I believe should have been a draw but went to Mayweather on split decision.

On the South African front I don't know if anyone has been following Tommy Oosthuizen? He has been seriously impressive with his first 2 fights in the US. I first saw him in the early days of his pro career at Emperors. Best thing about him is that he's a boxer, a "true student of the sweet science" as a US commentator said recently. Watch out for this guy, he's a next champ. He's only 24 and has a great corner behind him.

To all that are setting their alarms enjoy the fight, I know I will.

Possible. He almost put Mayweather on the floor with a solid right. He should of thrown the towel in ages ago though, fighting just for cash

I think Cotto will come at Mayweather early, but although Mayweather find's himself in an uncomfortable division level, he will with his speed and body blows get the better of Cotto and could even stop him in the final rounds.

Very excited about Alvarez. A Mosley 2 or 3 years ago would have been a totally different story, but has he got something left of that earlier form? I doubt it and think Alvarez will win easy

Jessie Vargas should be way to good for over the hill Steve Forbes.

Happy it's so early in the morning as the wife hates boxing calling it a barbaric sport.......all alone with coffee, rusks & magic boxing.

Mayweather won on points and he proved that he can box and take a punch at this weight, now we can dream about a fight with pacman when Mayweather(the dirty little scrotum) gets out of the tin pale for slapping his missus about..

Made my first boxing bet this morning... After the first round I could see that Mayweather was way too good and placed a win bet. Money for nothing.
