yesterdays track report from Flamingo

@08h00: Sunny and Fine 10 Kmph Northwesterly; @12h00: ; @16h00:
RAIN 24 HOURS: Nil, RAIN 7 DAYS: 2mm, PENETROMETER READING:
IRRIGATION 24 HOURS: 10mm, IRRIGATION 7 DAYS: 90mm

TRACK CONDITION: Standard, FALSE RAIL POSITION:

Note the difference in irrigation on the two tracks .

The amount of water thrown on these tracks determines the way these tracks run . I'ts mind boggling that tehy watered so little at the vaal . The track was running slow today . Swop track managers for a month and lets talk after .

Compliments to the flamingo manager he has really stepped up his game recently . Keep it up .

To the vaal manager go ti kimberly for a few lessons !

I suspect that all things being equal Flamingo is the better track of the two. So often on Vaal sand jockeys look they are trying to push an elephant up a mountain. Lol.

To be fair, maybe the Vaal sand does not need as much water?

But what is important imo is that the track should be more or less in the same 'condition' every week and this does seem to be the case at the Vaal - and not only the sand track - last week the inside track was so biased that horses drawn on the outside down the straight were at a definite disadvantage - I've even heard grumblings that the grass on the inside was cut shorter than on the outside - now that surely merits an investigation?
