I really am a bit lost at the moment, Lucky D. The filly is working well, blood good. But we have 17 horses coughing at present, though mostly 2 year olds. It's the normal Autumn thing. Sometimes, an older horse shows no signs before a race...

It is very hard to win, first run out of the maidens, too.

I would not be surprised if she won, but I just cannot advise with confidence. At home, her work has improved on the work of the last run.

Inside track, so low draws.

If this helps in future -

Pirates, remember the days when the old Vaal full width Turf track was there, the runners almost always split into two groups, hugging the rails, with the huge gap down the middle.

It's still the same, becauase of the camber from middle down to the sides. (convex), with the plastic rail now on the middle. So, on Vaal turf outer, outside draws and on Vaal inner, inside draws.

Thoughts; it would seem from Tuesday's racing that those drawn on the inside down the straight were doing better - but who knows it it will still be the case today :S

R3: Not sure what to make of this race, but surely Hurricane Velvet can not be any value at current odds (she started 100/1 on debut ::o) - all of Fanzene, Cradle Song, Flying Finish, Carribean Cruise must have chances, and the first time Eastern Greeting could be anything - I'm loading up in the PA
R4: I think Always Flirting comes off 2 good runs and is eachway value here - obvious chance to Great Smokey with Delpech in the irons - WInged Captain should improve on debut and is my 3rd choice
R5: Competitive sprint - Polar Moon has run against stronger and can win this at best, Rodeo Dandy an obvious inclusion in all bets, Tribal seems best over 1000 and must have a chance as well together with the hat-trick seeking Baron of Breedon
R6: We have Star Rating trying his luck again - has proven consistent and I give him a big chance again - blinkers will improve him imo as he was running all over the course last time - draw could be a concern though - obvious dangers are Skinny Jeans (who may prefer it softer) Cohiba (stable has not had a winner for ages) and Tsitsikama Striker (who may be best over 1200)
R7: Perigrine should be too good here; for a roughie consider Blue Tooth who may hold Pocket Filler on their run behind Troubled Waters
R8: Express View has a lot in her favor here imo, and the stable mate Arctic Bear provides a nice backup in the P6 (if she jumps on terms, she could even finish in front of EV on their runs behind Cyclone Barbara); Giggs another roughie to consider imo - MR has plummeted from 86 to 68 so could upset here - Luxurious Jet has a lot to do at the weights imo
R9: Silver Forest and Penny Fare both ideally suited to this trip and could fight this out, for the P6 the Houdalakis coupling must be included and for a real roughie consider Azalai, who won a similar handicap over this trip in December

Enjoy (tu)
