Will the post race interviews be.."it was not stable money" or "the horse is top class and we backed it off the boards"?

It's happened before and will happen again
these short odd's newcomers lose and the bookies laugh
For me it has to prove itself on track and in competition, only then will it get some of my bucks

Vino Nero and Yukon Gold that run in the same race are also nominated for the group 3 on the 31st along with Jade Bay ...

Races like these I just enjoy seeing how they play out. I don't back first timers (unless I have a share in them) and this looks like a nice race with a few looking for bigger and better things to come. What horses produce at work also doesn't always filter through to the track. I very seldom back in 2 year old races as some make huge improvements from run to run compared to others.

I generally agree with you Shrek, but there are some trainers that i follow with their 2yo.......especially if there is money for them!!!!

For example Vaughan Marshall..........and Dom Zaki.............and i repeat, especially if there is money for them

Jade Bay looked like a world beater going down to the start and his stride was mighty impressive when they jumped, but the way he compounded was very worrying. It looked almost as though he had broken down. No doubt he'll live to fight another day, but, in this case, I don't think he had a very good experience and the run might have done him more harm than good. It was a great run by Donnie Brasco, though, and well done to James Armitage who stands Ashaawes, his first season sire. Ashaawes is a real looker and superbly bred (Kingmambo out of Crown Of Crimson, by Seattle Slew). His half brother sold for over US$9-million at Keeneland, a few years ago.
