Laff - Great one liner
13 years 2 months ago
I was at the races yesterday when a friend of mine told Paul Laff that one of their mutual friends was getting re-married. Laff's immediate retort was "getting re-married is like swimming back to Alcatraz". Great one Laff !

Come on guys ! Give credit where it is due. Laff is a very good presenter, an excellent writer and has a very good sense of humour. Laff has his fair share of winners.........why do you always have to take a cheap shot at everything positive that is mentioned about anyone in the industry?

I love his humour.
His new one on Friday night was riversand for Rivaland (used to be plain Ravi).

BC I am sure RopP thinks that Mike De Kock is a good trainer but he does not have any horses there I am sure. If Laffs has the right horses he will produce the winners.I keep saying it is mostly the horse. The Jockey and Trainer have only a small say.

Lets be honest, the Sheik didn't choose De kock because D comes before E or L in the yellow pages? (tu)

When I decided togo on my own a good mate of mine that had been in the game for 40+ years said this is a numbers game. Get in as many horses as you can and hope a few are top class. Much easier to find top horses when you have 150-200 well bred horses than 30 or so reasonably bred horses. It is not easy for the smaller trainer.
