There should always be an interview with a Stipe after all objections, especially those that are upheld. It would be interesting to know how a decision is arrived at. Occasionally we get this, but by no means always. Last night, Tellytrack jumped straight back to World Focus, which is a good show - but there is a time and a place for everything.

The funny thing is.. I took the double Atl oak onto Extra Zero..

I knew the double was safe once obj was called..

I think mainly because AtL oaks path was interefered with twice as she tried to run on..
By the look of things, imo POL had the race won, with plenty in tank, but it was the bad Jockeyship that pushed the stipes hand, ddnt evn try keep her on a str8 course thus not allowing Gavin to ride his race properly to the fin..

atl oak, was right there, was push out and then pushed further out by POL..

yes magic i would love to hear a stipe trying to explain how they came to their decision.i can think of a few reasons but they hv nothing to do with the race.i had money on original winner but i dont cry wen it comes to gambling i just take it on the chin.my 1st impression was that there was absolutely no grounds for an objection, but i guess there were huge bets on atlantic oak and it was the right peoples money, so therefore it was upheld so quickly and without any explanation to the public who punted on the race.absolute disgrace and no transparrency once again from the people in charge.this is just another reason y racing has such a negetive perception with the youth who should be the future of racing, but instead they turn to poker and casinos.anyway it sounds like sour grapes on my part so i will just soldier on and wait for j & b met and punt a few winners there.

Does anybody have any comments on the Arlington race I posted. Surely that was an upheld certainty if ever there was one ... bumped and intimidated and lost by a diminishing short-head. I had no interest in that race, but it caught my eye at the time, while last night I backed Princess of Light and feared the worst having remembered some of the upheld decisions on the Highveld in the past.

In my opinion the KZN stipes are the most consistent and apply the methodology that there has to be absolute certainty that the other horse would have won. There was apparently an objection workshop involvng all the stipes around the country last year to try and iron out difference in methodology between provinces, but there still appear to be differences.
