Another Holy Roman Emperor

Tarry's 1st timer in the 1st race has been backed off the boards, I wonder if the owner is keeping it short to be a bad sport or has this filly got what is in her pedigree picture. These HRE's have been firing in their 1st season in the UK and I don't have the stats but they have to be pretty close to the top as I have made some decent dosh backing them. Even Charlie Laird debuted his and it romped home with Jessica Goslett steering it. The other to race locally was strongly supported but tailed off a distant last.

Lyric's Wonder has some serious credentials, her granddam Lyric Fantasy won the Nunthorp Stakes as a 2yr old and was voted 1992 European Champion 2yr old filly and retired with 6 wins from 10 starts. The mating looks solid as there is a big affinity with the son of Danehill(Danzig) accross the Woodman(Mr Prospector) Mare and the tail line producing young keen fast females.

Not one to capitalize on the odds on's but will float her with some local raced speedsters hoping for a decent trifecta payout.

FFS Titch where did you find such big words to discribe that the horse actually "tied up" in running, if that was from the Vet report then the vet is going to be charging by the letter.:.... I hope Duncan has got some of that muhti that was prescribed for East's filly.

Titch now that you have scared everyone away from this thread with those big words.....I can now post my Cape Sales pick ....yes its ANOTHER HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR LOT 171.....doubt if the seller will be keen to let it go for small money and it may be kept by the TRIUMVIRATE (KANTOR, JOOSTE,VAN NIEKERK ) as it has a Sire producing damline, in that the great grand dam Shadywood is also the great grand dam of Count Du Bois,Indian Haven and Imperial Stride.

to Tales of Bravery....I've always been mad on Mogok's and told Every Tom Dick and his dog to get into them. Now we have Orbison and The Apache..:...The ped match is OK and she should win a few if she's not too squibbish as I have seen a few Mogok fillies that were very small and never grew much once in training...:S

Hibs, to be honest it is soul destroying to have the knack of being able to do what I have already done....had PJ won the triple crown I could have easily blown my brains out....: I have escalated from finding Sabina Park only pick from 517 lots and following year Asylum Seeker(yes Frodo I congratulated you on the PEDIX Forum at the time) Zeno was another Big City Life (not in the budget at the time)Sangria Girl yet another. I fear that when these oppertunities jump out at me and I have no resourses to take advantage of them it then leaves me very dispondant. I now half heartedly look at the sales catalogues for fear that I may again see something I cannot do anything about. We start off by doing this as a laugh or to amuse ourselves and brag how good we are.... but in reality it realy hurts when they start to earn.

Should someone serious contact me and commission me I will study the bugger out of the catalogue and find them a pearl or two.
