Fantastic to see so many trainers sharing their thoughts and getting involved with the discussions and banter, at this stage I'd say racing is as transparent has its ever been!

Thanks to all the trainers that post and may God bless yl for helping a punter make some money

The willingness from trainers to offer advise has always been there but understandably when they get slated and branded as cheats when their horses don't run up to expectations will make many of them think twice about posting their thoughts, a majority of the trainers that I speak to regarding posting their selections have all come up with the same answer, "why make myself a target for the abuse"..any trainer that is asked by teletrack for their "1 for the day" has no hesitation in responding and it will be the same here if the "minority moaning machine" would think twice before posting abusive and unsubstantiated bollocks...constructive critic on the other hand will reap rewards so treat the site as it is intended to be used, a platform for debate and everyone will benefit..

Titch, you are absolutely spot on. Trainers also get it wrong - or do some people really think that trainers always know exactly how all of their horses will run??

I posted on the main Turffontein page our horse Danger Point has been working very well and we rate that he must have a big chance with his weight and draw today. Took the 40/1 but will still take some more at 20/1. :)-D

Cheers.

I had horses with 6 trainers during my 14 years as owner.
- only 1 knew excactly what the horse would do, and he was transparant, and communicated with me weekly. It was a pleasure dealing with him. It is a pity he is not training anymore. Thank you very much Jan Breedt.
- 3 of them didn't have a clue how the horse would run.
- 2 of them never phone me once in the 2 and 3 years I was with them respectively. I had to phone if I wanted to know anything. the didn't even notify me when the horse was scratched. I went to the course 4 times during their training periods, to find the horse scratched.

How I wish I could have had a horse with someone like the Shams or Craig Eudie with their transparancy and their good communication.

Keep it up guys!!! sorry and gal!!!

Yes and jockey. Anton rode both yesterday morning and was happy with mine. Changed blinkers to visors on WTW so he can see any opposition coming.
