titch,
what i have forgotten about betfair you will learn in due course. In the context of a race where £12k is traded someone attempting a huge bet sticks out like a sore thumb.

LMAO.... Easy you have a knack of making statements with authority that you know very little about....Just for the record when I lived in Dewsbury in West Yorkshire from 2001 thru to early 2003 I made a very comfortable living off betfair and considering that the site launched in 2000 you can only have a few months jump on me at very best...I notice you make no comment about the USD79K that was traded on Chocolicious today..2 an average price of 2.68 with 22k laid at 2.95

titch,
i never opened a betfair acount, it was migrated over from flutter.com
I also dont have 1 betfair account i have a master sub account (10 accounts) under 1 banner. As for chocoliscious, i see it won, winning horses is NOT the issue. Its unsighted horses that stick out woefully on betfair. Its also NOT every race (duh of course) but it does happen every so often.
The other market where "irregular betting " happens on a daily basis is the USA horseracing anyone with a bit of time and patience can CERTAINLY nick £100-£200 per night on the USA racing with a smallish bank , but you could be waiting for hours for an obvious "stinker or live one"
for me the place market is often a give away , how sometimes i see 1.4 available for a 18/10 shot is mind blowing and for £1000's.
example2 tonight
gulfstream race 6 £900 traded someone trying to get £800 on # 7 this ones for jodi.....clearly a live runner and as the market firms up it shortens WILL BE IN THE MONEY

I cant see the reason/benifit of having 10 accounts under 1 banner?? and If Chocolicious had been beaten would that have stuck out seeing as more than half the total traded on the race was on this horse

5th Race 2 morrow Bettingworld is offering R5K of 4/11 a place WILD TYPE (2/1) 3 places in an 8 horse field...with 10 accounts under 1 banner im sure you know that betfair always offer bigger odds than local bookies so what is confusing me is how can you find 1.4 a place off 18/10 "mind blowing"?????????

titch
you quite clearly have no idea what you are saying, if it had been beaten and the ammount traded was near the mark of its ever changing price then that is normal betting.
what i am saying is in a stagnent market that is not flowing in either direction when a horse is even money and people are trying to lay it at 18/10 for 10 times the ammount traded at that point in the race then it stcks out like a sore thumb.
there is quite a good book out there if you struggling its called "betfair for dummies"
Now choco shortened in the market so i can see how people that have taken 3.25 will lay back 2. whatever. thats the beauty of betfair. BUT when the horse is at 13/10 near the start of the race if someone stcuk it in to lay for lets say £10k at 9/4 then it would bear looking at.

At the risk of sounding repetitive:-

again i answer thee but i warn thee that a bugger off is just round the corner.
todays race 2 clairwood
7 horse field
betfair 3 places
betting
#2 9/10
#3 18/10 as much 3/1 a win as you want and as much 1.4 a place as you want runs stone last
#1 7/2
#4 50/1
#5 50/1
#7 50/1
#8 66/1
i have 10 accounts because i run different programmes on 6 of those accounts and use the other 4 for betting. its really not a complicated thing. just makes it easier to see exactly where i am in a race in a certain account. so when i lay the field in handicap shase races i do it in a different account to the one i use for hurdles races. end of explanantion and be nice to me you might want to get yeni on go me gal in the future......
