New home for Miss Diana (tu)

African Betting Clan proprietor Dave Scott and his racing syndicate known as 'The Clan' joined our stable this week and sent over their 4yr old filly Miss Diana to the Summerveld yard on Tuesday afternoon. She has arrived still nursing a recent back injury and will be given time to heal and recuperate before going off for a holiday on the farm. A big welcome to Dave and the boys, thanks for choosing Team G Racing and we look forward to bringing Miss Diana back next year. In the video : Miss Diana walking back from the scale where she weighed in at 448kgs.

Next year there will be a few wins.......i am confident of this. I reckon she should have won a few by now, but that is water under the bridge (tu)

UPDATE : Two weeks since taking delivery of Miss Diana and she’s coming along nicely. We’ve kept her confined to box rest with a short hand-walk daily and she appears to be over her back sensitivities. Front joints are still a little warm but she is sound and we’re hopeful for a full recovery.

Last week (Wednesday) we transferred her from Summerveld out to the countryside and then yesterday she had her first day free off the lead (see video). She is being kept company by a 24 year old mare (by Politician) whilst she settles into the new environment. Assuming all goes well, in a week or two she will join a herd of ex-racehorses (4 mares and 2 geldings) in a ½ hectare grazing paddock where she will begin her holiday.
