I have taken a 225/1 double Berry Blaze to win the Victory Moon and Summer Cup. Unfortunately Berry Blaze was claimed yesterday afternoon and they are now offering 5.75/1 a place but that still represents good value. (tu)

I think that's a great bet - after tonight, I think BB will be much shorter for the Cup

Badger L:ake may not be the worst 100/1 e/w prospect in history. I know he won a soft race the other day, but he absolutely bolted in and would appear to have now acclimatised to Gauteng conditions/altitude.
BTW, the PJ merit rating appeal is set for 9 a,m. on Monday.

I see PJ had his MR dropped from 118 to 116 which does seem like the correct outcome as a 4 point penalty was probably fair.
Interesting to see Smanjemanje has been supplemented for the race and Marcus rides Rudra.

Like smanjemanje to teach the big guys another lesson..
Good inclusion as ran a cracker on Friday..
I still think The Apache is a top sort and will be the one to beat, but I'm looking for a good priced horse to put the house on for a fixed placeX( and I'm thinking Gold onyx

Oscar my thoughts exactly, the handicappers have just proven that they are clueless again. If the horse ran to a 116 why not give it to him in the first place and if he ran a 118 why not stick with their original assessment. Don't the handicappers use a line horse? Have they penalised other horses like Engagement and Two Tone with 2 pounds too much now? What guidelines do they follow? Surely there must be a system they use? To me it looks like they use guess and will have a closer look when objected against. Poor showing by racing officials again.
Maybe the handicappers should become boxing judges.

Not sure if magic was a member of the review panel - if so perhaps he can let us know the handicappers' view/assessment ?
