Mysteriously no names to back this up ?? Who the hell do you think you are ? You're insinuating I'm a liar. Listen and listen carefully : I have a good name in the game, I think I deserve an apology for your disrespect.

Also - please feel free to answer Justanotherpunters question here on the thread. Would be a good start to your public relations campaign. That is after you apologize for insinuating that I'm a liar.
As soon as you apologize, I'll give you a call.

The only problem is I haven't the slightest clue as to what my account number might be as what is the point of knowing it when one can't get a bet with you clowns.

Just received a PM from Ruffian to testify for the prosecution. It is true that within a very short time I had to incidents with Sportingbet.
1. They cancelled a match bet I played when they decided that they had got the price wrong but never called me. I went nuts, went to gambling board and bookmakers assoc, but the matter was resolved and they apologized and did a compensation.
2. Then when I had a bet, the max the system would allow me to win was R220.00 (Maybe 20 pounds? LOL). I complained and this is what I received:
This is an update regarding your account limit. Unfortunately, the trading department has said that the account will remain limited for now, therefore, there is nothing more we can do.
Should you require further assistance or information, please reply to this message or chat live with us during our business hours.
Sincerely,

Sorry - was in Knysna. But here now to confirm I'm one of the people Ruffian was talking about. Won about 30 after a shaky start and they cut me very quickly.
I still have the online converstaion where the consultant basically admits the traders cut the limits of anyone who wins.
Their odds are great, but I think whoever they still laying bets to, they have labelled "losers".

Hi Guys,
Firstly, Ruffian, I do apologise for the cheeky sarcastic comment I directed at you. It was offside, so to speak, and I do apologise sincerely.
The very last thing I want to do is make enemies with anyone on the site. I joined ABC for two reasons - 1. Horse racing is my passion and I enjoy reading and getting involved with the day to day banter amongst other race goers, and 2. so that I can indirectly improve the SA Racing service for Sportingbet (Sb), by reading about punters complaints (not only with Sportingbet) but with racing in general, and using the information so that we can turn the negatives into positives, ultimately to offer a better product/service to the punters who sign up with us.
Right, let me try and give some feedback to the threads above. I will have to do each reply on a separate message, as it is easier to "quote" and then reply. Please understand that my answers are just the honest truth, nothing personal against anyone. I really hope my answers help!

If the customer service response was as blunt as "i don't - the trading office does" with no elaboration on the topic, then that is simply appauling! I can gaurentee you that when my boss hears of this he will deal with it in one way only, and that is to dismiss that person. Customer Service is THE most important task in a company, and we set extremely high standards in this regard. Ruffian if you could please send me the saved conversation privately it would be much appreciated so Sb can weed out the staff member responsible for such a reply.
Your limits - the reason for cutting you to such limits was because your business was deemed ungenuine. It was becoming too obvious to us that after the majority (not all) of the bets you took, minutes later the horse would get claimed. We tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but it happened too often and thus the decision was made not to accomodate your business. It had nothing to do with the fact that you winning too much, it was how you were winning.
With this being said, I am happy to re-negotiate your limits and hopefully come to an agreement. If you would like to do this then please e-mail me, and I will call you from the office tomorrow.
On a different matter, I know there is a MASSIVE amount that the Sb South African racing service has to improve on, and I am FULLY aware of that. I wish I could make it all right over night, but unfortunately these things take time. Let me give you a good example. We do not offer PA's, P.6's, JP or Qaurtets, but this is definitely not because we don't want to. It frustrates me personally to the enth degree because I know it is a huge turn off to people when deciding which online betting site to sign up with. The software that Sb use accomodates the UK racing betting markets, and to change or add the necessary applications for SA exotics, is extremely costly and a difficult procedure to gain authorisation for. We are working on it, along with a mobile service and much more. My goal is to make our punters happy with the product they can use, not to get frustrated and complain, but as I said, this will take time and I will do everything in my power to accomodate everyone as best I can.

Hi Dave,
I probably was not working for SB when this happened, but I am more than happy to look into it. However, for me to "suss" the situation out I need to know your username so that I can see the reason your account was limited. Hopefully, after reviewing the reason, I can reinstate your old limits back to normal. If you would like me to look into it, please PM me your account username.
Cheers

Hi Justanotherpunter,
In my honest opinion, there is no reason as to why your limits should have been cut. It is not uncommon for a 7/10 shot to shorten like that when they are from the Kotzen stable. Glen/Frikkie are not shy to let the public know if their horse/s have a genuine big chance of winning....especially with a talented sort like that! I must agree with you, what happened to you is totally unfair. However, I am not totally sure if it was Shezi who cut your limits, it could have been another trader for a reason unknown to me. I don't want to point fingers at my fellow work colleages. I know you have had your differences with Shezi it seems, but he is a good man to work with. Please e-mail me and with your permission I would like to contact you so that we can get your account up and running.
Cheers
