Lions with home ground advantage to win by 6. (Last time Province beat the Lions in a Currie Cup game at Ellis Park was 2005 then 6 straight home victories for Lions)
Sharks in great form, agree with PeeKay, win by 15.
Best bet of the weekend Sharks to win Currie Cup, still 16/10 available at WSB. They are 1/4 (2/7) to win this weekend which means if they win they would need to be 11/10 to win the Final to bet back to 16/10. Sharks in my reconing should be 11/10, the 1/4 with approx 7/10 in the Final. I recon with a convincing win this weekend and home advantage against Province or away to The Lions who they killed last weekend they will be shorter at 7/10. You can lay a portion of your bet off before the final.

My heart is with the Lions, but I doubt if even home ground advantage will be enough to give them victory over the all powerful WP side with their Springboks back.
I think the Cheetahs might give the Sharks a fright - imo the Sharks were flattered against the Lions last week and the Cheetahs beat them very easily last time they met in Bloem - still the return of the Springboks may give the Sharks the edge, but I think it will be a close run thing.

WP 8 points over the Lions, Sharks 6 points over the Cheetahs. Wp to beat the Sharks in the final.

What a difference a week makes!
Two weeks ago you could have ( and should have! ) emptied out on WP at 5/1 for trading purposes.At around about the same time there was, I believe, still 5/2 avaialable on the Sharks. Ditto.
The semis may not be as straightforward as they at first appear on paper.
First up is WP v Lions. As much as the returning Springboks have bolstered WP they have done little to strengthen the department where WP look very moderate - the tight 5 and at lock in particular. Add to this the fact that WP have not beaten the Lions in Jhb since 2006 and you have a reasonably tight contest in the offing. Clearly goalkicking them comes into it. WP have accuracy but not distance. The Lions blow hot and cold in this department. I pick WP without much confidence.
Sharks v Cheetahs. Cheetahs have a good record against the Sharks and step up a notch for the Currie Cup. Sharks looked pretty powerful against the Lions last week although the match had no significance for the losers. Both sides are weak in the centre so almost cancel each other out there. Cheetahs field a young flyhalf whom I predict RIGHT NOW will be the next Springbok pivot. On the basis of potentially better 'go forward' with their ball carrying forwards I pick the Sharks. I just hope they don't choose Saturday to produce one of the typically aimless performances that they cough up every now and again.

WP by 10 over Lions and Sharks by 20 over Cheetahs - Boks too strong and too many in WP and Sharks! Get your tickets for DBN final.

I thought the Cheetahs were very poor., and the Sharks only marginally better - well done to Ou Ryperd and element - why would they play the game in the heat - surely having the one game at 16:30 and the other at 19:00 a better option?

I played a little 23/1 on a LIONS/WP draw (
)
...if you though compare the confidence/quality of WP with the Shark's game - I agree with element that there might be a tough one staring the sharks in the face next week

Ref just missed a 5m forward pass by WP - and then gives them a penalty :S I thought the ref in the Sharks's game also missed a lot of knock-ons

Frodo what makes it worse is that the touch judge was directly in line with the pass.
