I would like to see an "independent" body take control of the tote side of the business.
Phum and GC can handle the racecourses and whatever goes with it. However they rake their income is their business. (they might want to keep the soccer pools etc.)
I will like to see what their balance sheet would look like without the horse racing punters money.
Lastly, director(s) from Phum /GC must NOT be a director or hold any position in the independent body.

Is the public / punter allowed to make written submissions. If yes, does anyone have an email address.

I have pointed out that the open bet was created by the the tote not been open to sell its product and frustrated clients going next door to the tattersalls for their swingers, trifectas etc.
This is not a myth.....I had a share in a bookmaking cubicle at the time.
In the interests of fairness,it could be said that it was the fault of previous management and no longer relevant, and perhaps all should be forgiven.
So lets update........I have now finished my study for tomorrows meeting and lets assume I will not have access to the internet tomorrow after, say 8 am due to meetings or an employer blocking access etc etc. so I would like to take my bet tonight or tomorrow before leaving for work so I try to place it on Saftote.....SYSTEM CLOSED,opening at sometime after 9 am tomorrow so I go to HOLLYWOOD website and,lo and behold,I can take all my "open" bets ,RIGHT NOW,at midnight.
Whose management is ruining racing?
How often is Saftote not open for races early in the morning ,although being scheduled as part of our local programme....Hong Kong etc.
Please Mr DuP, you haven't a clue what service your company ISN'T providing.

Irrespective of the issues, what sort of shoddy journalism is this piece, I ask you?
It is an editorial, a commentary, or what?
It could ruin everything....but "says whom?"
Is is like an edict from God Almighty?
