Imo JS seems to be positioning his horses better, not leaving them with too much to do as he did in the past. Or am i off the mark Hibs?

I agree 2cents,he seems to be that little bit stronger on his mounts when he needs to now, and a 20% strike rate considering he rides a lot of drift wood for the Hays and Dr Koukash is pretty impressive.

Apparently it all went wrong with him in the following feature race with Dance And Dance.

The Andrew Balding-trained Side Glance did best of the British duo in taking fourth after having every chance under Jimmy Fortune, but compatriot Dance And Dance lookeda shade unlucky incoming sixth.

Ed Vaughan's Royal Hunt Cup runner-up looked full of running with nowhere to go in the final furlong under Jamie Spencer, who had executed similar tactics with a rather more successful outcome earlier on the card when taking the Grade 1 Northern Dancer Turf on Wigmore Hall.

Pocket talking much speed1? How often has Spencer got it wrong this year? The answer is not very often and he gave Wigmore Hall a great ride, the gaps just didn't open up at the right time for Dance and Dance. He was unlucky the tactics weren't wrong.

@speed1, I'm not a huge fan of Jamie Spencer, either. But it's hard to argue with the ride he gave Wigmore Hall in the Northern Dancer today. Perfect ride, really. Dropped him on the rail to save ground, and very patient to not use him up too early on.

Not much he could have done with that ride imo after missing the kick so badly, dont think swinging wide of the final tutn was an option? RACE REPLAY
