Very challenging card today - small percentages the way to go imo:
R2: Saikasha (good recent form this trip) and Beloved Jean (not a bad effort last week over slightly shorter and has the plum draw) the obvious two for me - I think it may be too far for Rosehip - first time on the sand for quite a few, so any of those could feature if taking to the surface - and watch for improvement from Mother Superior from a nice draw
R3: Well if Loopy is right and Striker shows enough 'intent', I think Burj Dubai could be the right one here; main dangers Mildford and Kudos both have wide draws to contend with - only other to consider imo is Amidships whose only try on the sand was with blinkers; so he may improve without the headgear today
R4: Sucha Wonder and Polo both have good course and distance form, and with Striker sticking with Polo (as well as having the best draw) she could be the right one - Chilli Baby tries the sand track and could feature if she takes to it - Perfoming Light may prefer shorter, but has a nice draw and could feature as well.
R5: Very tricky contest - Dallas Dancer looks the right one, but lots with chances if he fails - Zebulon should prefer this trip and is one to consider along with Thick as Thieves woh seems to be improving after a rest - go with DD or load up
R6: Both Calanish and Sermon likes the sand and seems the obvious two; Game Over tries the sand and could feature if he acts on the surface.
R7: Indian Firecracker has struck form and should be right there again from a good draw - Funwayo is inconsistent but could upset at best along with Son of the Burg and the KZN visitors, especially Gershwin Tiger, whose merit rating has come down from 76 to 60
R8: Another open race to close - recently the better draw seems to be towards the inside and middle inside - so take that into account if you fancy Maclaine and/or Kinematic Countess - load up
Play well
