Not easy on the sand today imo - so take all the favorites straight line ;)

Thoughts:

R1: Competitive opener - made more difficult by the money for the Woodruff first timer - will watch to see if the draw has an affect today - Tatters is improving and could be nice each way value
R2: Turkey Shoot probably best over 1600, but the pace may not be on - Forest on the other hand is ideally suited to the trip, but has gone up a lot on hos sand ratings - I don't think Norquico is out of it either and who knows Mon Signor might like the sand - both favs too short in the betting imo
R3: Menasco the obvioius one, but he is drawn wide - still a PA banker at least imo
R4: Imani the obvious one, but is no star - so both Detectorist and French Connection could prove to like the sand - Glittering Dreams gets a tongue tie and can upset from a good draw
R5: Winter's Song all the rage, but is better over 1200 imo - watch out for the roughie Key Ridge - he beat Romeo's REward in the maidens and is now 6.5 kg's better off
R6: Tough race - Ubuhle may improve - but is held on her pinultimate run by First to Finish - who is certainly a candidate to be looked at for 'in an out running' - another roughie to consider is National Danzig with a light mass - Jenny Jones has a chance as well but is drawn wide
R7: Boss Cat should get the trip, but he could be upstaged by Kruger Gold who has run well with Gavin before - Al Felon another to consider with Enza Plan and Fort Lodge could be anything on the sand
R8: Difficult race to close - Maggie Thatch is by Muhtafal so could take to the sand - lots of others have chances if she does not

Play well
