Bismarck played well, but I reckon Brusseau thoroughly deserved the Man of the Match - he is world class. Morne Steyn also shut me up well and truely and showed that he is the best flyhalf in SA - pity that Lambie got injured.
I did not think the Boks played badly at all, they defended manfully and made the All Blacks work very hard - well deserved win imo (and glad to say I called both the defeat last week as well as the win this week) - but we should not fool ourselves, this was pretty much the 'B' string from the Kiwi's, so they still should take a power of beating in the World Cup imo

Spot on Pirates. I used to have the utmost respect for our skipper but he has put his own selfish needs above what is best for the team. How Saracens could sign in for 2 years after the WC is beyond me. I don't think he is in the top 5 hookers in S.A.

yeah Harris / Pirates
scoreboard did not nearly reflect what the game was about ...plus cant wait for Snor's replacement - simply cannot stand that dude
who knows what gonna happen in WC ....but going to look for that "new WC champion" punt if it comes up at the books

I agree Smit should go, but to say that the rules need to be changed is debatable imo - penalties are there to make sure teams transgressing the rules pay for those transgressions - and anyway those are the rules and you need to use them to your advantage - which we did quite well today - even when we won the World Cup in '95 and '07, kicking the goals gave us those victories - it's all nice and entertaining to see the ball thrown around, but as is the the case with test cricket, the 'real thing' is very much about techinique and playing to the rules and less about entertaining the crowd
Just my opinion

Its the fans that are been selfish. Here is a guy, who is not a gifted player, but through hard work and dedication has achieved something that not many people in the world will do and that is to captain your country to a World Cup win. Let him bow out at the world cup. He deserves nothing less. Even so if he plays or not there it wont make a difference because New Zealands name has already been etched onto the Webb Ellis Cup

So who will challenge New Zealand, if any team?

you have little faith in the team

Brussouw was awesome if he stays fit we will have a chance to upset the AB's in the potential semi. He is IMO our only chance of winning the World Cup. Steyn also cemented his place at Fly Half and I am pleased to see Habana playing well on defence, we all know that World Cups are won on defence.
My worries are in 160 minutes with our best side we haven't been able to score a try. What did today prove? That Steyn will punish any team from 55 meters out. Slade and Carter are like Chalk and Cheese add a quality fetcher like McKaw to the side with Read at 8 and you have a completely different side. The amount of missed tackles we made today was scary and if it wasn't for Fourie we would have conseded two tries.
At least the signs are promising and hopefully our boys can keep the Webb Ellis Trophy but there is still a long way to go.

Kind of like the ''Pakistans of cricket''... If they click on the day then they can beat anyone.... BUT they can also play so bad and loose to Namibia....(

Their mind set has changed a lot over the past year and their team is settled and their confidence is sky high. The French only perform when they have confidence.
