I believe the nominations for the E/Cape Awards Evening (hosted by the RA) are out for 3 September 2011, yet in good fashion, I do not see a single press release or not a mention on the RA website even.

We are pleased to advise you of the following nominations for the Racing Association’s Racing Awards Ceremony for the East Cape 2010 / 2011 Racing Season, which will be held in the Jock Andrews Pavilion at the Arlington Racecourse on Saturday 03 September 2011.

Thanks Scotia - 2yo olds dominated by G Smith inmates.

In A Rush for horse of the year. He won all three PE juvenile Features that a colt or gelding can run in, a feat which even Bold Silvano failed to achieve. That he will get champion 2yo colt must be the biggest no-brainer this side of the last ice age.

Agree Magic - I think 2yo colt a given: In A Rush
2yo filly - Starring Emma (would have loved Tory but failed in Nursery so no chance - although won most races of all 2yo fillies)
Others look a bit tough - horse of the year good chance for In A Rush

im hoping bob n weave gets the champion sprinter or champion 3yr old award for SHAM RACING.....(tu)

Hi all

Arlington hosts the Eastern Cape awards evening on Saturday and I would just like to congratulate all the nominees. To all travelling to PE - don't be "in a rush", do so safely. I am sure we'll have a great time and look forward to see you all again. -D

Seems like G Smith cleaned up again! Celtic Fire a surprise but it was because he won most stakes. I cannot agree with this!
