Scotia after the July
13 years 11 months ago
Just a quick update on yesterday, it must rate as one the best July’s ever.
It was very well organized and Gold Circle deserve a massive thank you for a record turnover day.
The Interbet function was superb and great to meet some other Clan members at the table.
The press conference was excellent and as normal MDK was superb, Graeme Hawkins is a true racing man and with this kind of passion and desire it gives me hope for SA racing and as Mike says we have to have to get our quarantine act together, as we have so much potential.
It was a fun day from start to finish, well done to Mr and Mrs Mac , thanks to Sunil for arranging our transport, thanks to Johnny and Gary from Interbet, thanks to Gill and the GC team for superb hospitality.
I now find myself in the fortunate position to give Mrs S a special birthday thanks to IGUGU.

well done Dave with Igugu, glad to hear you had a brilliant day.
Anyone know who Dave Mollett and Paul Lafferty tipped on the day to win the July?

Well done to Graeme and the Gold Circle team. The day was great. I wasn't the happiest because my fancy was Run for It. Anyway meeting old friends on course helped sweeten the mood.

Well done to Igugu. But I have to say it was one of the least exciting Julys that I have seen. There was hardly a meaningful challenge to the winner from the top of the straight. A bit like the average football game - you had to have a bet on it to alleviate the 90 minutes of boredom.

This was supposed to be the sign. Lord London's connections were the first people i recognised on course.
Muzi and LL

I should have realised after the first race that every horse I took a close up picture of was doomed to running down field!
Lord London is a lovely looking horse!

Quotes of the day:
"Not much changes as far as the fashion goes in fact this is not much different to 1996. I would guess ot is not much different from the 1970's either. There is only so much one can do with a piece of material"
and
"They look like refugees from a pantomime."
Jimmy Lithgow
I love it!!!
