Some real tough bread and butter racong at the Vaal today; some thoughts:
R1: I prefer Torman to MJ Thriller wiho is no value at 8/10 imo
R2: Kukmakranki may have more improvement to come and is my tentative selection in a very weak field
R3: Marghoob no value imo - I think Kudos at 8/1 is much better each way value
R4: Royal Wings should prove hard to beat - Uthawini needs to improve a lot to be a threat imo
R5: Really competitve fillies handicap; Europa Point looks the right one, but not much between her and several others on form; Magic Penny baulked last time so could be worth another chance - load up
R6: Another tough handicap where several have claims; Hors d'Oeuvre should improve more this distance and is my first choice, but Indigo Amigo loves this trip and will be right there as well; Foreign Reserve is bang in form and is another with a chance together with Erfaan who may improve over this trip; Siciliano has been nailed 8 points for his last win, but can not be ignored
R7: The Woodruff stable has strong claims here and could be the banker in the P6; Mr Ronaldo is inconsistent, but has a chance if finding his best form
R8: Roman Warrior has been given 8 points, but looks the right one again from Lecture Tour and Thomond
R9: Extremist loves the trip, but seems to lack a bit in the guts department; Zuchetto needs to give Extremist 2 kg's which should give the latter the edge; Island Court is an unknown factor, but could prove good enough to roll the top 2 over
R10: Another tough race, but Iron Legend has come down in the handicap and the 2.5 kg's he gets from the filly Strike Princess could prove decisive; while Empire Ruler is a definite contender as well
