I don't think it wuld be a bad thing as quartet is more popular and trifecta being there leads to thinning down of wagering money. e.g. how often have you taken a boxed swinger and then u think to yourself, oh no if it comes in and I don't have the trifecta I'll be kicking myself - you therefore go and spend more money unnecessarily on the same combinations.

I think that they should let it be.

How many times have I seen punters catching a trifecta multiple times. A R24.00 bet taken 50 times that pays R50.00 odd.
I have seen it happen.

why dont we ask the punters what they want just like most customer related industries do...the trifecta is my favourite and i dont touch quartets...they should consider doing away with doubles on every race the pick 3 is a major flop and the all to come bet the biggest disgrace

Pirates - 100%

The P3 is a major flop. The pools says it all.

Good idea Pirates altho I disagree that most if any customer related industries do that.

There was some talk the other night on Winning Ways that 'they' could 'investigate' doing away with fractional betting on the trifecta - like pirates says, it would be a good idea to get the punters' opinion on this first - and then 'investigate' away.

If iwas aked iw ould say do away with the duoble 1st then test the success of the pick 3.

Leave the trifecta as it is , there are many small punters that bet it , why restrict it ?

I like options, the more the better...what does not suit someone fits someone else like a glove. Each to there own.. By taking the trifecta away the person that likes it might not play anything else... life is all about options right?

Me for one love the P3 but very seldom play the P6.. I would rather choose which 3 races in a row I like and seldom like 6 in a row so no revenue from me on the P6, however ALWAYS on the PA and most days on the P3 for the 3 consecutive races I like...
