Aintree Grand national 2011
14 years 2 months agoMeeting starts on Thursday..
I like the chances of a scottish winner with Silver By Nature trained by Peter Scudamore`s missus Lucinda Russell at around 16/1,there has only been one scottish trained winner of the race Rubstic in 1979,considering the race was first run in 1839 the stats are not good..
LAST YEARS RACE

Threaten the horses with haggis for supper. If that doesn't persuade them to run like the wind and jump every obstacle in sight, nothing will.

You won'tt get an argument from me. I mean, how can anybody compare the imminent return of a horse like Frankel to a three mile jumping race at Uttoxeter or something? Yougottabekiddingme.

Nothing wrong with Haggis Magic, much better than spaghetti, but we did have the kids and friends stay over last weekend and I was up to prepare them good hangover food, bacon, eggs, sausage and "black pudding" Mrs S and myself were the only takers for the black pud........lol
Back to the National..................my original thought was Tidal Bay but can McCoy do it again on Dont Push It? he is such a king.

Haggis is better than spaghetti?
Yougottabekiddingme, Part Two.
Black Pudding???? Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh. Another reason why British cuisine (?) has traditionally been (with all due respect) the laughing stock of Europe. We need a vomiting smiley here, I'm afraid.:
(Unless you put some very weird toppings on your spaghetti....(
