I remember when I was a school lad waiting for my dad to come home with this big brown envelope containing all the computaforms for the up coming weeks racing.
When other kids had to study for history and geography and maths, I was studying turffontein, scottsville and kenilworth :D

Cool! Thanks Ant! It's funny Tommy this also reminded me of my late father. He had piles and piles of them when I was a kid.

Of course, I never did that...... :D No, with me it was the Borrowdale racecard in the 1970s. Later, the Durban racecard when I was supposed to be studying at varsity.

And look where it all got me. Doing this, instead of a real job. X(

Hopefully my son (or daughter) will be writing something similar in 20 years (wonder if ABC will still be around?)

My father was a firm believer in the race card (much cheaper) - I had to introduce him to the Computaform

It must have been 15 yrs?? ago I went to Windhoek to help Hans Eerenstien for the July in his bookies office with computerform under my arm. He took it ripped it up and threw in the bin. ;)
