I HAD a runner today..... & we've been waiting a month to get into a SAND race with the right distance.
In fact so have 11 OTHER RUNNERS IN MY RACE............ YES 12 RUNNERS PROM A PREVOIUS RACE WERE ALL ENTERED TO RUN IN A SIMILAR RACE TODAY........... that just shows you how few SAND races there are for this type of horse - MR 72 for colts / geld.
why not postpone to WED. ? OH i forgot, that would clash with KENILWORTH racing in the Cape.
What is the R.A. doing to assist it's members ?................ I forgot, this doesn't affect me..... I'm no longer a member for obvious reasons.

According to the announcement on Tellytrack, they need to water the track in order to get it to 'bind' properly - any additional rain after the 'watering' and they are buggered; boggles the mind really - the original plan as I can remember was to have another surface available should the TURF be unsafe for racing.
Also why not race side by side with Kenilworth tomorrow - they do it often on Saturdays? I feel really sorry for guys like Elvis, as a result of the fantastic programming of races, a suitable race for his gelding comes up once a month if you are lucky - and bugger the draw, you have to take the opportunity to run; and then racing is CANCELLED - oh well just another month of paying keep without even an opportunity to recoup expenses.
No wonder that breeders are struggling to sell and have to 'give away' horses at 10 or 20 grand; why buy them if you can't race them?

Frodo, when P & R.A. don't try to SAVE MEETINGS or postpone them for 1 BLOODY DAY, leaves a bad taste in the mouth........... should one get involved in NEW horses at the sales just around the corner........ I THINK NOT ! when my last 2 are finished racing, & they were BOTH DUE TO RUN TODAY -
( A DOUBLE WHAMMY ) I think it's time to HANG up the SILKS.
