can someone please put the sea cottage story and the gatecrasher one up on this site,i have missed both and i am not too happy about it. Love watching SA racing from way back when.

The Lithgows are doing a DVD of the series Dalakhani ,me being oversees means i miss the inserts so can`t wait for the dvd..

THE POLITICIAN STORY ON BREEDING UNCOVERED TONIGHT



To be featured on tonight's Emperors Palace National Yearling Sales edition of "Inside Racing" is the third excerpt from Aidan Lithgow's series on the great racehorses from the past, entitled "Legends of the Turf". This is the third of the five excerpts to be aired prior to the Sales.

Tonight's excerpt documents the story of dual J & B Met and Queen's Plate, as well as Rothmans July winner, Politician, and it contains new footage unearthed at the South African Film Archives. Personalities to be featured include Alec laird, son of the horse's trainer, Syd laird, Dennis Drier, assistant trainer to his uncle, Syd Laird, at the time, breeders Des and Robin Scott, co-owner, Fane Tenderini and jockey Bertie Hayden.


Also on tonight's show is a highlights package from the Dubai World Cup, including a featurette on the victory of JJ The Jet Plane, in the Al Quoz Sprint, and a tribute to the recent successes of KwaZulu Natal breeding,

Still watching the JJ insert magic just seen Anthony g waving the sa flag the show is a must see!

The Politician piece was superb. Some really good stories especially from Alec Laird. I liked the one about Syd Laird calling Politician The Dutchman. Politician's second Met win remains the most unbelievable finish I've ever seen. I watched it live and like everybody else couldn't believe it. Francois Wolfaardt's TV commentary is also one of my most memorable commentaries as such is the finish Politician produces that he only spots him after he's crossed the line!
