Record WC run chase, fastest WC century - and against a "proper" team. Brilliant effort, although the Ugandan Under 16 team could have fielded better than England. Up the Irish!!

Well done to the Irish, first time I have enjoyed a game of cricket, was difficult to drag me away from bar stool, no Irish people in the pub, but plenty anti English.............:)-D

Ireland won fair and square. They kept their nerve after losing their captain with the first ball of the innings and then suffering a slump when they were still more than 200 runs away from the target. O'Brien played one of the greatest ODI innings ever, but he needed a couple of partners to play sensibly and they obliged. It was a solid team effort from the boys in green, and while they may not repeat it for a very long time they deserved this win. Being neither English nor Irish and having no beef with either, I can say that as a complete neutral.X(

7/1 freely available when they needed 100 runs to win. Congrats Ireland. Lets hope no coach mysteriously passes away after that upset cos if that was Pakistan losing ...
