Are punters and lottie players more 2nd class than Amazon clients & high end shoppers?

I would have thought it is my right, as I have a forex spend allowed, to have the freedom to spend it at Amazon.com, or any other way I choose including punting and lotties. But I understand the vested interest groups which lobby successfully against and steamroller my constitutional and individual rights out of existence for their own benefit.
And, having abrogated my rights, it doesn't help to hear that they aren't interested in providing a particular service I need. Or can’t, in the case of the lotties. The surrogate “ways to bet” (e.g. 2000/1 for four numbers) rub salt in.
I want my rights and choice viz a viz my forex spend back. Others spend more on books and music videos from Amazon than I would spend, and politicians wives spend more on one trip overseas than I would spend in a year.
If there is a limit, and I stay within it, it should be my choice how I spend it. That includes punting and lotties, not just books, videos, software, games, fancy shoes, exotic jackets and cars etc etc etc
Vested interest groups lobby successfully against and steamroller my constitutional and individual rights out of existence for their own benefit.
Is it not my individual and constitutional right to spend my forex allowance as I choose? Or are punters and lottie players some kind of second class citizens, (lower than Amazon clients and high end shoppers), who don’t have the right to choose how to spend their forex allowance?

It is my individual and constitutional right as much as any other to choose how I spend my forex allowance, and that includes punting and lotties.

Yeah, but that doesn't give anyone the right to LEGALLY treat me that way and abrogate my legal, individual and constitutional rights. The same goes for LOTTIE players, and if they are regarded as second class then you are talking 80% of the population.
I have the right to spend my forex allowance on better service or a bigger dream as I choose and no one, no vested interest, has the right to abrogate that right.
Politicians wives shopping in Milan, tourists buying junk they will never use or just to show off, etc etc, are bigger mugs than punters, and their right to choose their forex spend will never be abrogated. Not to mention exotic cars which are many a mugs seriously huge not so indirect forex spend.
I have the right to spend my forex allowance any way I choose, and no vested interest which regards its clients as mugs has the right to abrogate that.

No, it is not your right.
The right you think you should have is specifically and expressly not your right if you fall under the SA law.

Yes and No......
Forex regulations control the movement of money out of the country.Once you have money legally elsewhere, the manner in which you spend it is restricted only by the laws of that country (ie. if you have moved money legally to the UK you may utilise Betfair, participate in their lotto or any other activity that is legal in the UK.)
Read the warning in the computaform very carefully....it is intended to mislead.....the only law referred to is a forex one!

Dear Rob
You too are wrong. There is specific case law where a SA citizen who won on an overseas lottery was arrested after funds arrived here. And other cases too.

All those cases relate to the movement of money, not the activity, per se'
I will put a wager against my statement that: "There is no law in SA which prevents you utilising Betfair as long as you are not in contravention of forex regulations"
I have had that opinion confirmed by a senior member of the gambling board!

Ask above member to breeze by their own web site:

How much is this wager? Are you giving odds seeing as you now want to insist?

I recently received email re: my stance on Betfair and have replied to the mail, its appropriate to also reply on this thread.
I have not used Betfair for well over a year except as reference point on betting odds.
When I quoted "the best invention ever" I was referring to the genius of the gents that took the simple concept of matching 2 punters with opposing views on any sporting event on the planet, holding the punters money up front, taking a cut and paying out the winner (wish it had been me). "no risk"
Is there negatives? Well yes, the potential legalities (as posted above), if your intention is to "lay" as I also previously quoted you will find that you may have to lay evens on a 5/10 shot. You cant take multiples.
Would also like to state that the bookies using Interbet often "match" and in many cases have better prices than Betfair.
There is a "niche" in the market for all players/operators and with technology constantly improving the punters have never been in a stronger position imo
However showing a profit at the end of the day continues to be a challenge to us all
Good punting!
ps this site/forum was originally based on the Betfair model to give the "SA" punter a voice via the forum as they have no SA link.

I`m legally allowed to use Betfair, but only use for live pictures and as a price guide, the uk bookies had to act and now bet to roughly the same % come race time..
In running betting is hard to make money, with so many sharks privvy to faster pictures it`s an unfair advantage..
Betfair was good for the punter imo,if only to wake the bookies up
