Major Victory would make a good pacemaker for some of the slower horses over there

Fallon scores on stylish Meeriss at Jebel Ali
KIEREN FALLON partnered Meeriss, trained at the track by Dhruba Selvaratnam, to defy top-weight in style in the featured 1m2f handicap at Jebel Ali on Friday afternoon.
The six-year-old rarely runs a bad raceat Jebel Ali but he was still recording his first success since November 2009 in a race where the Gay Kelleway-trained Major Victory was unplaced.
Meeriss was simply far too good for the opposition on this occasion and Selvaratnam said: "He is a good horse and has relished this step back up in trip having been in good form over a mile and nine furlongs.
"We will have to think about the Carnival again now, although there is the Group 3 race on the Abu Dhabi turf in March in which he was third last year."
Selvaratnam also confirmed William Buick would be back in action at Meydan next Thursday.
The concluding 6f handicap was a competitive affair with several carnival aspirants at the top of the handicap but it was the lightly weighted Golden Shaheen (Mubarak Bin Shafya/Xavier Ziani) who prevailed.
Bin Shafya was completing a double after Mureb (Pat Cosgrave) had won the 1m handicap to follow up a course-and-distance win a fortnight ago.
Rashed Bouresly has high hopes for Amazon River, who opened his account in the 1m2f maiden to win at the eighth attempt.
Unraced for Darley, the four-year-old is a Dalakhani half-brother to Group 1 winner Medaaly and to the useful Charnwood Forest.
A fast-finishing second at Meydan last week, he battled gamely under Robbie Burke to deny Selvaratnam and Fallon a double with Sarbola.
Bouresly said: "He is getting better with experience and as he gets stronger - hopefully next year he might be a carnival horse."
Champion UAE trainer Ali Rashid Al Raihe and stable jockey Royston Ffrench combined to win the 7f handicap with Game Stalker. Gay Kelleway's D'Artagnan was out of luck here.
Earlier on the card, apprentice Harry Bentley registered his 12th winner of his debut UAE season when winning the 1m arab race on the Gill Duffield-trained MH Al Wadi.
Bentley won on the same horse over 7f at Jebel Ali on his previous start six weeks ago.

Surely it would of been better to keep those 2 EX SA horses in SA, they were average anyway, some people have no brains or too much money to waste shipping them all over the world at the costs....:S
