Scotia upset about the Met results

Good morning all and must say we had a superb weekend in Cape Town and when the sun shines and the wind doesn't blow it must rate one of the best places on the planet.

Waterfront

Table mountain was awesome, the MET was great and thanks again to Gill from Gold Circle for the hospitality and giving us a press badge to try out the camera in all the best places. In addition a trip to Muratie wine farm was also a worth while experience.

wine farm Muratie

The Cape really rocks especially the sushi being eaten from a scantily clad model. There has been a barrage of critics to say that it is degrading but I disagree and felt fine, however I did have a difficult time trying to locate the cucumber!.

Plenty has been said and posted on the site with regards the race plus photos to match, we will definitely try and be there next Jan. not forgetting the Queens Plate................ International Race

We had over 2 million hits and 9000 unique visits in Jan. and we look forward to a positive 2011, thanks again to the sponsors and posters.

Telesis stats

Also well done to Mike in winning the Luyt Lager competition.

The next big racing events are Cheltenham starting on the 15th March and Dubai World Cup at the end of March and plenty packages on offer for the rich punters will be posting a few "specials" on the site...see home page.

Not much change in the ante-post markets and we still have Binocular 7/2 for champion hurdle, 28/10 Cue Card for Supreme Novice, Knights Pass has gone to the top of the boards 10/1 for the bumper, Master Minded 5/2 for the Chase, however Big Bucks going for a 3rd world hurdle has gone money against 11/10 after a great weekend performance from Grands Crus 5/2. Gold Cup unchanged.
So a nice early treble to get some of the MET money back from the bookies would be Cue Card/Master Minded/Big Bucks at around 30/1.

Football also little change with all the main contenders winning again.

Have been enjoying the John Francome documentary shown on Winning Ways(James and Laff) and catching great memories of two of my heroes, Lester Piggott and Mill Reef a must watch and well done to Interbet for a great show,, in addition Jimmy Lithgow on Jet Master is also an excellent piece of work.

Had a good response for last weeks funny from Rowan Atkinson .................so what the HELL, here is another one

Watch Clip

Good punting and may your God be with you.

Just watch the treble :S

CUE CARD features among an 86-strong entry for the Stan James Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham festival, although a decision on his participation in the race will not be made until close to the meeting.
