The Summer Speedsters (Non-Black Type) over 1000m that was due to be run at the Vaal Racecourse on Tuesday, 1 February, has now be rescheduled for Thursday 17 February, the next meeting programmed to take place on the sand track.
Heavy rain over the course forced the meeting to be abandoned before the running of the second feature event on the card.
``The Summer Speedster for fillies and mares will be treated as an entirely new race and trainers will have to nominate their runners again,’’ explained Patrick Davis, Racing Executive Phumelela Gaming & Leisure Ltd.

They should get rid of that crap sand track which is water logged after 10mm of rain .....put in a all weather track.
