incredible, that people are again and again betting horses, which never ran on sand, they don not win often.
Memghar had clearly the best sand form, he beat sizzling guy and national fleet and was at 16:1???

Yip, very well done by the Happy One(tu) - of the 6 'roughies' I mentioned, I found only 1 winner (Memghar), but if you backed them all, you would have turned a profit in the end; some thoughts on the others:
Nazran - Ran a fair race in 4th - follow next time again(tu)
Indian Firecracker - I think give up on this one (td)(td)
Blingle Bells - Close up 5th, coud feature next time:S
Tutenkhamen - Faded late, could surprise next time:S
Hurricane Force - I'm giving up on him (td)
Very poor run by Black Aces - under pressure from the start - not sure what to make of him:S

Thanks, more close misses than hits, yet the last race quartet helped make it a profitable day.
Still sore about the +50/1 dbl I took on Son of the Burg and Memghar, SotB was so convincing lto.
Could never have had Candy Cotton in a thousand years today...good luck to those who did.

To each his own, I suppose; I quite like the Vaal sand; and for me I will hardly ever miss taking at least some sort of interest (PA, small P6, occasional eachway, etc) on a Gauteng meeting (the exception being the 'lower stake' meetings), I will occasionally have a dip at Cape racing and KZN (night meetings and feature days), almost never in PE (only when I am extremely bored on a Friday afternoon) and never at Flamingo Park
