The National Horseracing Authority is pleased to advise that Mr Denzil Pillay has been appointed as Racing Control Manager with effect from January 2011.
Denzil is currently the Manager : Betting and Racing at the National Gambling Board and has worked within the racing and betting environment for the past 13 years. His work and interaction with industry stakeholders both locally and internationally has afforded him exposure to both the regulation of gambling activities and the regulation of the sport of horseracing.
In his current position, he has chaired the National Horseracing and Betting Forum over the past five years and in that capacity has provided support, guidance and oversight in the racing and betting industry.
