Pirates I have driven past there a few times when in Bloem for business, it's overgrown and in a total state of neglect, no development that I can see from the road.

A friend of mine was interested in starting dog racing in Bloem when the wise men of racing decided to close it down. That venture never got off the ground. It's according to people I know in Bloem standing in a total state of disrepair. It was prior to being closed down one of the most cost effiecient racecourse in SA and it's tote turnover far exceeded it's running costs. In a nutshell it was a little gold mine.
