Ran with the choke out for 800m,was beaten a long way from home and was eased right down..

HEAR tHE DRUMS HAS DONE EVRYTHING ASKED OF HIM. WHY NOT GIVE HIM AN HONOURABLE RETIREMENT?aLL TOP ATHLETES AND SPORTSMAN REACH THE END AND I AM SURE HEAR THE DRUMS HAS had enough. Could probably win again if pushed but what would be the point? thanks for emorable career and have a great retiremnent. Cheers Hear The Drums.

agree, but, that was nowhere near not it's run....should have been at the firing line.

Maybe, just one more appearance to show us that he is OK so we retain that fond memory of him; a gallant horse!

"Hear The Drums got his tongue over the bit and he choked up. He hates it when you go anywhere near his mouth and his tongue was bone dry when he got back to the stables," said the trainer.
