On the subject of weights,I can't work out why ,in D'ville race 5,horses 1&2 got a weight advantage over the field.....not WFA so anybody know why?

rob, the weights in that race do not make sense to me either - take a look at the 6 and 7 as well; is this not some experiment with a 'staggered weight structure' over this trip?

Apparently they compressed the weights to make up a field.

Jeez,if thats right Party Line,it is just another "stuff the punter" situation. Not because they did it....... but because if there were special conditions for ANY reason ,it is a conditions race ,not a handicap!
Who are they decieving....the punter....many do not have the time, knowledge or inclination to check on these kind of things.

I seem to recall a rule that staying races are handicapped at 3 points per 1/2 KG.
