TabGold All To Come Bet - a strategy

Do any of you experienced have a strategy for this bet ?

Do I bet favourite / favourite / outsider for bigger payout if outsider salutes ??

OR

Do I bet outsider / favourite / favourite to maximise investment on favourite ??

AND

considering my limited funds, any cover options I should consider ??

If you're serious about your usage of the word 'strategy', just realize that every stage of the ATC bet is taxed with the multiplied effect and you'll never beat the tax+take-out over time. Most accumulator type bets have tax only applied once so then you just have to beat the natural odds. Although, watching the effect on the shorter priced horses, my statement may not be true if you play longer shots as a habit.

focus on the bet strategy and look past the tax issue and tote changes during the race (if that is possible)

the only strategy that can work on mathematics is as follows:-

the aim is to collect as you go along

to do that:-
leg 1 must return more than R15k
either you play R5000 on a R4.00 (4/1) win or place and collect R5000 as R15,000 goes forward to the next leg
or you play R1,000 on a R16.00 (16/1) win or place and collect R1000 as R15,000 goes forward to the next leg

leg 2 we collect again as R15,000 goes onto ???? R2.00 (2/1) win or place....we collect another R15,000 and R15,000 goes forward to the next leg..

the bookies alternative would be a patent (3 horses- 6 bets ), yankee (4 horses ?? bets), canadian (5 horses -26 bets) which is not comparing apples with apples

Mine would be to have it with a bookie and if you knock it off buy a horse to support the industry..

I have given up with punting with the bookies.

5/1 and 5/1 double R250,000/R7000


When the 1st horse wins lay back to the bookie R50000/R7000 to cover the stake.

Many/almost every time the 1st leg won and the 2nd leg :-
Altejir - greyville opens 5/1 starts 18/10 pulled up - could not negotiate the turn - yet 2 weeks later - almost same field - same jockey - same distance - same race course - wins by 3!

Next double - jockey jumps from the horse at the jump, grabs onto the starting stall gate pole - stipes laugh - tex laugh - jockey relocates to Cape town the next day - screwdriver in my tyre at Turffontein!

I have been there - been a bookie - know what goes and what doesn't go.

Bookie wants money - best he finds a day job!
Like I have said before - look back in the RSA history - > 99% died poor people?

The tote - as bad as they are - the returns are good on Quartets, PA straight line, P6 and R6 jackpots taken 100 times.
