Scotia on the long Emerald Cup weekend

Good morning all and hope you are ready for some fun in the sun this weekend (hope the rain stays away).

The big race should be a cracker and we also have a great competition, many thanks again to the bookies for coming up with betting vouchers for the punters. ..............R7000 up for grabs

Cup betting...

7/2 Storm Crossing
9/2 Cinnamon Sugar
9/2 Sayadaw
11/2 Iron Curtain
7/1 Incomodo
12/1 Bar

Overseas we have the Queen Elizabeth from Ascot on Sat where we should have a great race on our hands between Canford Hills (get on again) and Makfi who has been punted to joint fav.

Canford Cliffs should go close Saturday

In addition the early 1000 gns fav White Moonstone should win the Fillies Mile.

The Royal Lodge will also see the early Derby and 2000 gns fav Frankel and he should be too good for the opposition.

However please note that my horse to follow for next years classics will be Saamidd..........Saamid one to follow

Moving on to October the ARC is on the 3rd and Behkabad now tops the boards at 4/1, the Derby winner 6/1 (had a good gallop this week) and Fame and Glory you can now get 7/1 (ew) the Prix De LAbbaye has Swiss Diva as 3/1 fav.

Going South we have the Cox Plate on the 23rd of Oct where the new star So You Think is 2/1 and in the "race that stops a nation" Shocking is still 10/1 fav.

Early Nov where the Breeders Cup meeting 5/6th Nov should kick off with Midday winning the filly and mares race and on the big night Goldikova for the Mile and the Classic will see a full house scream the unbeaten Zenyatta home at 5/1!

Other sports

Football where my prediction of a few shock results would appear gone with Chelsea already money on, Utd 5/2, Arsenal 6/1, City 20/1, Pool 80/1, Spurs 100/1 and 1000/1 bar (how boring, but a long way to go) maybe the Cup where Chelsea 5/1 and the Geordies at 65/1 (we can always live in hope)

The rugby a bit early for the World Cup as normal the question is who can beat the All Blacks? will it be the Boks or the Aussies or maybe this time they really are too good (famous last words)
Curry cup where I guess the big game is the Lions and the Sharks, but who will lift the Cup, Bulls, Sharks or WP?

On the special bets glad to see AP is still fav for BBC trophy, would be great for the sport, plus local idols where I did post that I enjoyed Elvis Blue when they had 1,000 left and see he is down to the last 7, but must admit have not been following this year. However 7 is a lucky number plus we have 7 grand up for grabs in our competition so don't forget to have a go!

I was in a voice activated lift over the weekend but must admit no good if you have an accent...............Watch the clip

Now remember its national braai day on Friday and if you are in the Pretoria area get these blue bull wors on the fire!

Have a great weekend and may your God be with you

Good punting!

Found that UK soccer it is best to pass the major clubs in playing multiples.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U as they are never offered at any value (1/8, 2/9 or 2/7)
The 2nd division clubs play more to form wrt their log standings.
Also far better odds offered on fav (4/5, 10/11 etc)
