Football watches the world over

be prepared for your monthly subscription to increase by at least 10 to 15% if your package includes EPL. Sky are going to put our prices up by £10 a month and I can see other broadcasters doing the same as they have to purchase the rights from Sky.
Now I ask myself this. How much more money do these already over paid footballers want? How much more are Sky going to pay the ex pros who are now pundits?

its unreal Greg. Prices to go are through the roof and the real fans cant afford to go and that's why you get such a poor atmosphere at the matches. They say that Sky will be paying around £10 million per live match to the Premier League. They have to get the money back somehow and who better to get it from but the viewers.
The Premier League then pay the clubs, depending on how many live matches they play, a specified amount. Thus the clubs that are broadcast the most live in the UK get the most money which results in the clubs near the bottom getting the least thus they cant go out and buy top players with that money or increase the capacity of the stadium. That's why the top 6 clubs will remain as they are for years to come. You will never see a side like Newcastle or Sunderland ever winning the league or getting into the top 4.
Sky make most of their money by syndicating the matches to over seas broadcasters like M Net in SA , Star on the continent and Fox in the US and Australia.
