A moment of family history was made at Cheltenham on Saturday when brothers  Sean  and  James Bowen  dead-heated in the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle. It is the first time the two top Welsh riders have shared the spoils in a race. James Bowen made what appeared to be a race-winning move on  Quantock Hills  in the home straight and the Warren Greatrex-trained runner led approaching the final stages. However,  Teriferma , trained by Jack Jones, motored home to catch him on the line.

Boxing day with 11 meetings to choose from

Mullins at Leopardstown

Kempton the big one

I did post on my weekly thread but note that the current superstar 8 from 8 has been punted to fav and must be match fit for this classic clash

Kempton Park steals the spotlight with a clash of champions in the Christmas Hurdle—Lossiemouth vs Constitution Hill.

This four-horse race is a must-watch. While Burdett Road and Lump Sum are solid entries, the real battle lies between the big two.

Lossiemouth: Match-fit and in superb form, the Mouth gets my vote.
Constitution Hill: Coming off a year’s break, it may be a tough ask to hold off Lossiemouth, but don’t count the Hill out for a thrilling finish.
This race could set the stage for the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in March. Even if the Hill narrowly loses, the rematch could be a different story.

Elsewhere at Kempton, The Jukebox Man and  Kientzheim look like solid bankers.
In the King George, with no Willie Mullins runners, the race is wide open. Watch out for the French contender Il Est Francais, but pack your exotic bets with plenty of runners.

Wonderful racing from Kempton yesterday
Constitution Hill is back to best and has gone  money on for Champion Hurdle.
The Jukebox Man and Kientzheim won well and the French horse put up a wonderful effort but was caught by Banbridge in the King George.

Pleny racing today Friday

Wetherby
Chepstow
Kempton
Wolves
Leopardstown
Limerick

Highlights should be

Kempton
Sir Gino vs Ballyburn

Leopardstown
Gaelic Warrior can frank the form of the Hollywood star IL ETAIT TEMPS who is being rested after small injury setback.
